Freelance English to Simplified Chinese (Singapore) Legal and Insurance Translator
Linguists are key players at TransPerfect. Working under the guidance of your manager and in collaboration with Project Managers, you will translate and proofread documents for clients in the Insurance and Legal sectors. Remote work from anywhere in the world is offered.
Responsibilities
- Translate and proofread documents for clients in the Insurance and Legal sectors.
- Create and finalize the end product before it goes to the client.
Qualifications and skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (Singapore).
- Specialization in Legal or Insurance translation.
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar.
- Professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines.
- Asian time zone preferred.
Education and experience
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent degree with significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education.
- 2 years of translation experience and a college degree.
- 5 years of translation experience and no college degree.
- A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.

- Submit a latest CV with your relevant translation and proofreading experience, your proposed translation rate per word, and your proposed proofreading hourly rate, both in USD.
