About the Role
Help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks. You will take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.
Main Responsibilities
- Set up and execute CFD simulations using industry-standard tools
- Build and verify reference solutions for fluid dynamics problems
- Develop Python-based validation checks for AI agent outputs
- Conduct mesh-independence studies and validation against benchmarks
- Document and evaluate simulation results for AI training purposes
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field (energy, oil & gas); PhD preferred
- Several years of hands-on CFD experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+, including meshing
- Solid verification and validation practice with mesh-independence studies and experimental validation
- Proficiency in Python and GitHub
- English at B2 level or above
- Nice to have: aerospace, automotive, offshore, or turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow experience
Project Details
Time Commitment: Estimated 10–20 hours per week during active phases (not guaranteed)
Compensation: Up to $9 per hour equivalent, depending on level and pace of contribution
Why This Opportunity
- Work fully remote on your own schedule with just a laptop and stable internet
