About the Role
Hexcel is seeking a Material Planner Engineer for our Casablanca, Morocco manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for managing material planning, procurement, inventory control, and supply chain operations to ensure optimal production efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Main Responsibilities
- Receive, analyze, and confirm customer sales orders
- Manage raw material orders to ensure correct quantities arrive at the right time
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Monitor inventory levels and manage aged inventory; prepare yearly inventory plans
- Perform production schedules (yearly, monthly, weekly) and manage MRP data and parameters
- Conduct supplier research, assessment, and performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
- Monitor supply chain risks and opportunities; continuously revise procedures and work instructions
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Management on new project introductions and material planner assignments
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Supply Chain, Industry, or related field
- 4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent computer skills; MS Office proficiency is mandatory
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft AX is a plus)
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Candidates must be eligible to work in Morocco.
