About the Role
Join SCOR's brand-new Actuarial Hub in Casablanca as a senior member of our Life & Health Modelling Teams. You will design and update SCOR's L&H Reserving modelling capabilities, deliver transformation vision for modelling tools and processes, and champion best practices across multiple markets (US, APAC, or EMEA).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop reserving models, including data inputs, results extraction, testing, validation, and documentation within a controlled framework
- Develop modelling roadmap and strategy, delivering vision for target tools and processes
- Deliver improvements to models and processes, developing automation and analysis tools for quarter-end valuation
- Ensure continuous support, reliability, and high performance of models; triage incidents and coordinate root cause fixes
- Partner with valuation and reporting teams on specifications and enhancements; translate needs into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Manage testing, release management, deployments, change windows, and rollback plans
- Perform financial impact assessments and explain results to senior stakeholders
- Champion best practices in coding standards, governance frameworks, and documentation
- Provide training, knowledge sharing, and support to junior developers within your modelling team
Required Experience
- At least 7 years in insurance or reinsurance in valuation, reserving, cashflow analysis, or actuarial modelling
- Qualified actuary (any recognized actuarial society)
- Significant experience with actuarial database software and SQL
- Programming experience with Python or similar languages
- Strong expertise with actuarial modelling platforms (Prophet, AXIS, MoSes, Milliman Mind, or equivalent)
- Experience collaborating with IT on system integration, automation, and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of Life and Health insurance, reserving practices, IFRS17, or Solvency II
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, engineering, physics, or equivalent quantitative field
- Qualified actuary certification
