About the Role
Join SCOR's Reserving team as a P&C UK Reserving Actuary, providing comprehensive actuarial services for SCOR business written in the UK and Europe. You will work on insurance, facultative reinsurance, and treaty reinsurance business for non-Lloyd's entities, delivering quarterly reserving analysis and supporting a wide variety of reserving projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver quarterly analysis of technical reserves across multiple lines of business
- Execute reserving projects including process automation and line-of-business modelling
- Produce reporting for SCOR UK and SCOR Europe boards and governance bodies
- Lead improvements to models, visualisation tools and dashboards
- Conduct annual UK portfolio reviews and contribute to actuarial reports for UK and European legal entities
- Perform regular and ad hoc studies for specific segments and communicate key trends to the business
Key Requirements
- Post-qualified actuary: Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) or equivalent (FCAS, FIAA)
- At least 7 years' experience in Lloyd's/London Market reserving (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of UK and French GAAP, Solvency II, Solvency UK, and IFRS17
- Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in actuarial software, databases and reporting tools including ResQ
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong project management and analytical capabilities
- Coding ability in VBA, SQL, Python and familiarity with Gen AI (desired)
