Most companies split the work: one person takes the ticket, someone else talks to the customer, and someone else decides what gets built. The Product Engineer role at Powerprozesse covers the whole job: talking to the people who use the software, deciding what to build, building it and staying on it until it works for them.
About the company
hausverwalter.ai is software for property management companies in Germany. It combines inbox, CRM, documents, telephony, video calls, team chat and AI agents in one platform. The team is small, based in Worms, Germany, works fully remote, and is self-funded and profitable.
What you will do
- Talk directly with customers, reading support requests and feedback for your area.
- Decide what to build next in your area and write down why for the team.
- Ship a first version to a few customers early, then improve it based on what they say and do.
- Build all of it: data model, backend, frontend and UI, aiming for clean and intuitive results.
- Handle support for your area and check whether shipped features solve customer problems.
- Automate what you can, such as updating the knowledge base and internal agent.
Example work
- Importing a customer's old file storage into document management, with AI-supported assignment of documents.
- Investigating and fixing a wrong answer given by the inbox agent.
- Finding out why few customers build their own agents, and making the setup simpler.
- Making a frequent property manager task faster by reducing the number of clicks.
Tech stack
Everything is TypeScript, from the database schema to the frontend. Backend: Convex. Frontend: Next.js, React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui. Agents: Vercel AI SDK, LiveKit for voice. You build with Claude and get as many AI tokens as you need.
