About Base360.ai

Base360.ai is the AI operating system for short-term rental businesses, helping property managers automate their operations. Born from The Flex—a successful short-term rental operator—it now serves operators worldwide by unifying reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance, and reporting into one platform.

The Role

We're seeking an ambitious Product Engineer to turn customer problems into intuitive, reliable software. You'll work directly with founders, designers, and property managers to identify what matters, build solutions, and improve them based on real usage.

What You'll Build

  • Customer-facing features, operational dashboards, and automation engines that help property managers scale without proportional workload increases
  • AI-powered workflows and integrations connecting the entire short-term rental lifecycle
  • Event-driven automations eliminating repetitive work: cleaning scheduling, check-in instructions, owner statements
  • Reliable APIs and integrations with Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, and other ecosystem partners
  • Solutions for real-time synchronization, dynamic pricing, smart locks, guest communication, and operational forecasting

Your Mission

  • Understand customer workflows and identify friction points worth solving
  • Build products end-to-end: from idea through frontend, backend, integrations, testing, and production deployment
  • Create intuitive interfaces that make complex operations easy to manage
  • Develop AI-powered features using LLMs and agents for guest communication, maintenance triage, and pricing support
  • Measure impact through customer feedback, usage data, and operational results; iterate based on adoption and outcomes
  • Make sound technical decisions balancing delivery speed, maintainability, security, and reliability at scale

Tech Stack

Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, AWS, serverless architecture, OpenAI APIs, Twilio, Stripe, Docker, GitHub Actions. We value capability over specific technologies.

You're a Great Fit If You Have

  • Strong experience building and shipping production software
  • Full-stack capability across frontend and backend systems
  • Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or similar technologies
  • Deep understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud architecture
  • Product mindset: curiosity about user needs and good judgment on usability and technical trade-offs
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into practical solutions and work independently with ownership
  • Confidence collaborating directly with customers, designers, and founders

Bonus Experience

Short-term rentals or hospitality technology, multi-tenant SaaS, marketplace integrations, AI agents, workflow automation, product analytics, event-driven architectures, Supabase, or AWS serverless.

Success in 12 Months

  • Shipped features actively used by property managers
  • Core workflows automated through your products
  • Customers spending less time on manual tasks with easier-to-use interfaces
  • Reliable integrations moving reservations, availability, payments, and operational data
  • AI features integrated into daily operations
  • Customer feedback and usage data consistently informing decisions

Why Join

  • Build meaningful solutions for real daily problems in short-term rentals with direct access to The Flex's operations
  • Own product outcomes from conception through improvement
  • Work closely with founders in a small team with massive opportunity
  • Learn across product, software, AI, automation, and scale
  • Competitive compensation with substantial upside for exceptional performance
  • Remote-first: work from anywhere, outcomes matter more than hours

Not for You If

  • You prefer slow-paced corporate environments
  • You want narrowly defined roles with limited customer involvement
  • You need detailed specifications before making progress
  • You avoid ownership and accountability
  • You consider features finished without validating they solve user problems
