About the Role

Join a Microsoft Gold Partner as a Data Solution Architect to design, architect, and implement large-scale Azure Data Platforms, Business Intelligence (BI), and Analytics solutions for medium to large organisations. This highly technical role combines hands-on expertise with strategic client engagement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and deliver end-to-end Azure Data Platforms including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Lakehouses, pipelines, BI and Analytics solutions
Conduct presales activities, estimating, proposal writing, and respond to RFPs
Develop data technology strategies and roadmaps with clients; plan and oversee delivery
Design, model, and build data solutions; enforce technical architecture and documentation standards
Translate business requirements into reporting and analytics functionality; mentor delivery team members
Analyse, implement, and resolve issues with existing Azure Data Platforms; address customer queries promptly

Required Expertise

Minimum 3 years in a similar senior role
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services: Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Data Lake Storage Gen2, SQL Database, Data Factory, DevOps, Stream Analytics
Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and Azure Purview
Strong understanding of Master Data Management and Data Governance frameworks
Familiarity with CI/CD development approaches and Azure DevOps
Graduate-level education in Computer Science or relevant field; certifications highly valued
Fluent English (spoken and written); willing to travel across UK and abroad

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of Common Data Models and Industry Data Models
Experience with OLAP technology and Microsoft on-premises BI Stack (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS)
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform
