About the Role
Jobzyn is building an AI-powered recruitment operating system: the platform that understands candidates, assesses them through AI-led interviews, and matches them with the right opportunities, for talent and companies across the MEA region.
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the team building our core product. You will ship features end to end, and you will also co-own the engineering underneath them: the architecture, our development standards, and the quality of a fast-growing codebase. This is a high-ownership role: you get up to speed on the company's vision quickly, set your own goals, and see them through.
We hire for level, not for years. A few years in a real professional setting are essential, because some reflexes can only be built in production. Beyond that, what matters is that you already operate as a senior engineer.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship features end to end on our core product, from data modelling to UI, with TypeScript, React, Next.js and the TanStack ecosystem.
- Co-own the architecture and technical foundations of the platform: structural decisions, deep refactors, migrations, performance and reliability.
- Define and uphold our engineering standards: code review, testing strategy, continuous integration and codebase quality.
- Balance deep, focused engineering work with day-to-day product priorities, sharing that load with the team so the foundations keep moving forward while the product keeps shipping.
- Build AI-powered features and tooling (LLM integrations, agents, MCP servers) alongside our AI/ML team.
- Mentor engineers across the team, lead parts of their work, and help grow the engineering organization as we hire.
- Stay close to the business: work with clients and operations teams, turn a business problem into the right solution, and ship it fast.
- Push forward how we build with AI: agentic tooling, automation, and sharing what works with the team.
Qualifications
- An engineering degree and at least 3 years of professional experience designing and shipping production software, in product teams and on modern stacks, operating at a senior level.
- Strong command of TypeScript, React and Next.js. Experience with TanStack (Start, Router, Query) is highly appreciated.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and a modern TypeScript ORM such as Drizzle, and familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: you are a hands-on engineer who can design, write, read and debug code yourself. AI tools multiply what you can do; they do not stand in for it.
- An advanced agentic coding setup, well beyond prompting: a deliberate subagent strategy, integration with your project tooling, automated routines and tasks, and test suites that let you ship large features with confidence.
- Real fluency in applied AI (LLMs, RAG, agents, tool use, MCP servers): you will touch all of it day to day, even as a full-stack engineer.
- Product and business sense: you turn a business problem into the right solution, with a genuine eye for UI and UX.
- You learn fast, research before you implement, test what you ship, and own your mistakes.
- Clear, direct and transparent communication in French and English, written and spoken.
- Strong pluses: startup experience (a very strong plus), workflow orchestration engines with durable execution such as Temporal or Vercel Workflows, a good grasp of security best practices, and familiarity with React Native.
