About the Role

Join Svitzer Tanger Med as an ASD Tug Boat Master at Tanger Med II Port, Morocco. As a 1st Class Master, you will take command of the tugboat and lead the crew to ensure safe and efficient port towage operations for a global leader in maritime services with over 180 years of expertise.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage tugboat operations and ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
• Supervise and coordinate crew activities, including scheduling, training, and readiness oversight
• Ensure compliance with Svitzer policies, statutory obligations, and safety management systems
• Maintain accurate operational and safety reports and documentation
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to crew members
• Participate in safety training, drills, and operational improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 1st Class Master Certificate of Competency (Moroccan nationality required)
• Minimum experience operating ASD tugs in port towage operations
• Fluency in Arabic, French, and English (mandatory)
• Proven ability to lead teams effectively in a collaborative, safety-focused environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
• Familiarity with industry technology and basic MS Office skills
• Must reside within 1 hour of Tanger Med II Port for operational availability
