What You'll Do Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracting is expected to be a seasoned and skilled lawyer, able to independently address the full range of global legal issues facing BCG and with a particular expertise in all aspects of commercial contracting. Among other things, you will:   • Be a fully integrated member of BCG’s Global Legal Team, with a primary focus on commercial matters, commercial risk identification, and internal process improvement, particularly for BCG’s operations in Morrocco and in the Africa System;   • Serve as champion of BCG contracting and risk management standards;   • Draft, review and negotiate a wide array of complex commercial agreements, including global master services agreements, other client and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, subcontractor and partnership agreements and nondisclosure agreements; technology transactional matters and variable pricing agreements;   • Be experienced in quickly and independently redlining and custom-drafting legal documents;    • Collaborate with and provide counseling and guidance to local Finance team to support the contract management process;   • Implement and help to develop and champion BCG contracting and other policies and processes and provide assistance to seek approvals on deviations of contract or other policies;   • Provide general counseling and management of a full spectrum of business and legal issues, which, in addition to general commercial matters may include licensing and intellectual property topics, digital and technology, data protection, competition law and trade regulations, conflicts of interests, and other legal matters;    • Identify risks and issues; suggest alternative solutions;   • Team successfully across BCG and integrate fully into BCG's Global Legal Team to resolve or support resolution of complex legal issues;   • Act as bridge and point of contact between functions and business for resolving legal issues;   • Contribute to developing and maintaining Legal Team know-how, templates, technology solutions, and other key enablers; and   • Performing other duties as assigned or required.      In all cases, BCG's Legal Counsel will be an exceptional lawyer, able to efficiently deliver high quality work, and will have substantial experience effectively advising on and negotiating large commercial programs by deploying a strategic, outcome-based perspective to transactions.      YOU’RE GOOD AT   • Superior analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability, with an appreciation for striking a practical balance between business and legal objectives;   • Talent for absorbing new skill sets and areas of expertise quickly and comfortably and the flexibility to deal with a diverse international set of clients and advisors;   • The ability to quickly comprehend complex sets of international laws and regulations and interpret those laws within the context of BCG's global policies;   • A positive, dynamic, client-focused approach to legal practice;   • Perform successfully and produce results in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environment;   • Superior communication skills;   • Be a pragmatic, high-energy professional, with personal and professional self-confidence;    • Have the interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships throughout a loosely structured organization;   • Comfortable with technology and systems that are used in daily work, including contract lifecycle software, Slack, and other platforms;   • Deploying and driving large scale legal change efforts, influencing stakeholders and ensuring on-going awareness and compliance with contracting policies;   • Be comfortable at assessing, presenting and mitigating legal risks; and   • Ability to handle high-pressure situations.   What You'll Bring • Qualified lawyer.   • 5+ years of commercial contracting experience with international exposure.   • 2+ years with a reputable law firm preferable; prior relevant in-house experience preferred.   • Excellent written and oral communication skills; and   • French and English fluency. Arabic would be a plus.  Who You'll Work With A variety of cohorts and functions across the company, including senior leadership. Members of the BCG Global Legal team, Finance and the Partnership. You will report into the Commercial group within the Legal Team.
