About the Role
Join Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche, a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel, as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager. You will support the Executive Housekeeper in managing all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and linen services. Main Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and organizing the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance
- Supervise and monitor housekeeping ambassadors' performance, ensuring compliance with brand standards and service excellence
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to verify cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment functionality
- Prepare weekly staffing schedules, monitor attendance, and conduct labour planning to maintain cost effectiveness
- Organize and deliver departmental training programs, focusing on service standards, courtesy, and professional development
- Handle guest complaints professionally, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive guest relations
- Manage inventory of supplies, linens, and equipment; conduct stocktaking and prevent loss or pilferage
- Prepare monthly reports and performance reviews aligned with KPIs for team development
Key Requirements
- Previous housekeeping management experience in a similar role is essential
- Strong operational background with proven experience implementing and managing brand standards
- Proficiency in Opera and Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated cost control experience including payroll, expenses, and forecasting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to work autonomously
- Professional communication skills, well-groomed appearance, and articulate demeanor
- Team leadership and mentoring capabilities with focus on ambassador empowerment
