Job Overview

The Product Business Specialist drives product-related business growth by identifying opportunities, supporting new product development (NPD), and providing technical and market insights. This role bridges engineering, sales, and customers to ensure product competitiveness and alignment with market needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Market & Product Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of market trends, competitor products, and customer requirements. Maintain the Competition Database and identify gaps for product improvement and innovation.
  • Business Development: Drive initiatives to increase product adoption and conversion from competitors. Collaborate with Account Managers and develop Competition Replacement (CR) strategies while tracking conversion KPIs.
  • New Product Development (NPD): Work closely with Sales and Engineering teams to define NPD opportunities, support TERP forecasting, and provide technical input and market insights during product development phases.
  • Customer & Field Support: Act as primary liaison for product-related inquiries and application solutions. Support field engineers and conduct on-site visits to gather feedback and validate product performance.
  • Reporting & KPI Management: Establish and monitor KPIs for product performance, conversion rates, and NPD success. Prepare regular reports on market trends, competitor activity, and business growth metrics.

Required Background

  • Engineering or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Business, or related field
  • Over 5 years of proven success in product management, business development, or strategic sales
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and market analysis
  • Strong business acumen with ability to drive pricing strategies and optimize margins
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities across diverse markets and cultures with cross-cultural awareness
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing abilities with experience fostering cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English
