Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java/Spring Boot and React.js/Next.js) - PropTech, Casablanca

Company Overview

Yakeey is a fast-growing PropTech company headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco. Its mission is to simplify and accelerate real-estate transactions by connecting buyers, sellers, renters and agents through a single digital platform.

The company operates a multi-product portfolio, including a property marketplace, a credit application and processing platform and a valuation tool. The platform is built on a microservices architecture (Java/Spring Boot, Next.js, AWS, Kubernetes) and enriched with data and AI components.

Role Summary

As a Senior Fullstack Developer with T-shaped skills, you will own one specific domain of the platform (marketplace, credit or valuation) while keeping your work aligned with the overall architecture and collaborating with other domain teams. You will combine deep frontend expertise (React.js, Next.js, MUI, TypeScript) and backend expertise (Java/Spring Boot, microservices, API design) with a broad understanding of data, DevOps and AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain your domain's full stack, including microservices in Java/Spring Boot following domain-driven design and user interfaces in React.js and Next.js.
• Design and expose APIs that integrate your domain's services with other platform components, adhering to the Model Context Protocol (MCP) where applicable.
• Design and implement reusable frontend components that consume those APIs, ensuring a seamless and accessible user experience.
• Ensure alignment with the global architecture by basing frontend and backend decisions on established patterns, guidelines and cross-team agreements.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams (data, DevOps, AI) to manage dependencies and integrate your domain with their components.
• Apply your T-shaped skills to understand how data flows, deployment pipelines and AI components affect your domain.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to a cohesive platform strategy.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, accessibility, security and observability; take part in code reviews and continuous delivery.
• Mentor junior developers within your domain and encourage knowledge sharing across teams.

Profile

• Curiosity for next-generation AI technologies, such as intelligent agents, large language models (LLMs), MCP and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Solid experience building frontend and backend systems, with deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot and React.js, Next.js, TypeScript and MUI.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management and UI/UX best practices, plus microservices, RESTful API design and domain-driven design. Experience with design systems, component libraries and event-driven patterns is a plus.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS, with familiarity with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other domain teams.
• Familiarity with fintech, proptech or similar regulated domains is beneficial. Proficiency in English, French or Arabic is a plus.
