About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Architect and Full-Stack Developer who thinks like a Systems Designer. You'll join our fully remote team at Hausverwalter.ai, an all-in-one platform for property management companies. If you enjoy reasoning about data, scale, reliability, and implementing AI-solutions with Claude/Cursor, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Own the system design – decide how data is modeled, where state lives, how components communicate, and how the system behaves under load
  • Make hard, hard-to-reverse design decisions early and reason explicitly about trade-offs
  • Design and own the data layer from the ground up – tables, relationships, indexing strategy, and query/load optimization
  • Design queues, background jobs, and long-running workflows that remain correct and reliable under heavy load and partial failure
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, stack direction, and overall product vision
  • Operate in an AI-first development setup powered by Claude/Cursor

Our Tech Stack

Everything is TypeScript. Backend: Convex (Database & serverless functions). Frontend: Next.js, React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui.

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine systems-design background – design databases from scratch with tables, relationships, and indexes; reason about database load and query performance
  • Think in terms of consistency, throughput, failure modes, and bottlenecks
  • Comfort designing queues, background jobs, and long-running workflows with sound trade-off judgment
  • Treat reliability, scalability, and maintainability as default concerns
  • Solid English skills for team communication
  • Work autonomously and take full ownership of tasks

Compensation
