Arabic-English Remote Interpreter (OPI/VRI)

About the Role

Future Group Translation and Localization Services is seeking professional Arabic-English Remote Interpreters to provide accurate communication between non-English and English speakers via phone and video calls. As an Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) or Video Remote Interpreter (VRI), you will facilitate clear, transparent communication across various industries, with a focus on healthcare and medical settings.

Your Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Render all messages accurately and completely without adding, omitting, or substituting information
• Maintain awareness of industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical terminology
• Provide exceptional customer service and facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
• Take detailed notes during calls and apply professional interpretation standards
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue new certifications
• Comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting and communicate with your team leader

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in English and native-level proficiency in Arabic
• Minimum 1+ years of over-the-phone interpretation experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• High school diploma in your native language
• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of legal terminology
• International healthcare certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)

Technical Requirements

Internet: Dedicated high-speed, private, secured wired connection (Ethernet); minimum 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds. Wi-Fi is not allowed.

Computer: Windows 10 or higher; dual-core processor (Intel Core i5 or superior); 8 GB RAM minimum; must operate in High Performance mode with power adapter plugged in (no battery operation). Chromebooks are not permitted.

Equipment: Noise-cancelling wired headset with built-in microphone (no Bluetooth or wireless headsets). Single device only; no external devices such as cell phones or tablets.
